Located just 3 hours drive from Antananarivocovering 154 square kilometres of eastern Madagascar, Andasibe-Mantadia National Park is a place of great beauty and biodiversity.

The park is made up of primary forest which has been largely untouched by humans and is cloaked with thick tropical rainforests made up of lush ferns, lianas, many types of orchid species and a plethora of other jungle flora that is also teeming with a diverse array of endemic wildlife.

Split into two areas, the smaller Analamazaotra or Perinet Reserve to the south and the larger Parc National de Mantadia to the north, the park includes different circuits, allowing visitors the opportunity to enjoy spectacular hikes, discover & swim in hidden waterfalls, search for rare orchids and seek out many of the endemic species that can be found in this lush rainforest, including the Indri, the largest Lemur in the world, which can reach up to one metre in height.

The climate of the park is quite cool, the average temperature is around 20°C and it rains almost all year, visitors should be prepared to expect some rainfall during their stay.
