Sandibe was completely remodelled as an environmentally friendly thatched lodge in September 2014.
The lodge is positioned between permanent water and grass-swept plains on a private concession in the Okavango Delta, adjacent to the Moremi Game Reserve. The lodge is surrounded by an abundant array of wildlife.
Uncluttered and elegant, the lodge features a copper palette, with natural rusty tones. Copper-clad mekoro, sculpted wooden tables and intricate baskets will celebrate the very best of Botswana craft.
Drawing their inspiration directly from nature, the suites at Sandibe are elevated above their surroundings, gazing out onto the Okavango Delta. At night, the rooms become private cocoons, with fireplaces providing warmth and light in winter.
The guest cottages with en-suite bathrooms are completely re-vamped, each with a private plunge pool.
Activities include game drives in open 4 x 4 safari vehicles, spot-lit night game drives in the private concession with experienced guides and a Motswana tracker.
Sandibe offers abundant bird watching opportunities with over 340 species recorded.
