Porini Conservancies Rangers Programme

As the conservancies have grown, so has the need for more rangers, who are the backbone in ensuring wildlife and habitat security.

The company continues to increase the number of rangers as required, but rangers need equipment such as uniforms, two-way radio transceivers, GPS devices, binoculars, smartphones and tablets for wildlife data gathering, motorbikes and vehicles to fulfill their duties.

The expansion of this programme requires your assistance; sufficient rangers per unit are directly translated into better protection of both habitat and wildlife.

In our conservancies, an expansion of this programme means that the community sees a direct rise in their employment levels as we employ 100% of our rangers from within our partner communities.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

Your donation toward the rangers programme will assist us with payments for equipment, wages, uniforms, rations and training which enable the rangers to be more effective in their day-to-day activities.
