The Friedman Archives Photo Expeditions
Kenya Photo Safari 2025

Join renowned photographer Gary Friedman on an unforgettable 8-day safari adventure through Kenya’s most breathtaking landscapes — crafted especially for photography enthusiasts of all levels. This immersive journey is all about helping you see (and photograph) the wild like never before.
The safari begins with a night in Nairobi, giving you time to settle in and prepare before heading into two of Kenya’s premier wildlife conservancies and IUCN Green List-certified destinations —  Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Laikipia and Ol Kinyei Conservancy in the Maasai Mara ecosystem. Along the way, you’ll stay at Porini Camps, proudly awarded Gold Eco-Rated status by Ecotourism Kenya. These exclusive, off-the-beaten-track locations are known not only for their rich diversity of wildlife — including elephants, lions, cheetahs, leopards, giraffes, and more — but also for their peaceful, crowd-free settings, giving you the freedom to focus and frame the perfect photograph.

Throughout the safari, you’ll benefit from Gary Friedman’s expert guidance — with hands-on coaching in the field, image reviews, and personalised tips to elevate your photography. Whether you’re looking to master natural light, improve composition, or simply take sharper, more striking images, Gary’s teaching style is designed to meet you where you are and help you grow.
Expect golden-hour game drives, dramatic landscapes, intimate wildlife encounters, and the unmatched thrill of capturing that once-in-a-lifetime moment. This is more than a safari — it’s an opportunity to build your portfolio, grow your creative skills, and tell powerful visual stories of Africa’s wild beauty.
All this, while being guided by expert Maasai safari guides, engaging meaningfully with local communities, and directly supporting vital conservation efforts. It’s a photographic journey with purpose — and memories you’ll carry for a lifetime.
