Gamewatchers Safaris won three awards at the 15th Eco Warrior Awards 2022!
Porini Amboseli Camp won the best accommodation in collaboration with impact partners while Gamewatchers Safaris bagged the best tour operator in promoting community development. Porini Mara Camp, Masai Mara, Kenya was awarded the 1st runners-up certificate in best accommodation in conservation through the establishment of conservancies.
The Eco-warrior award is an annual event held by ECOTOURISM KENYA that recognizes efforts, innovations and exceptional achievements for promoting responsible tourism and enhancing tourism sustainability which directly conserves the natural environment linked to local communities through mutually beneficial and equitable partnerships.
We are glad to have been recognized for our commitment to conservation and responsible use of resources.
Gamewatchers Safaris:
1. Works with the two communities around the Selenkay conservancy and Ol Kinyei conservancy in the formation of the conservancies
2. Has gained communities’ trust through transparent planning, delivery and review of projects
3. Gamewatchers Safaris is innovative and committed to ensuring payments to the communities continue for instance during the Covid Pandemic the company came up with the “Adopt an Acre” plan.
