The Victoria Falls are one of the natural Seven Wonders of the World and is the largest sheet of falling water on earth – a spellbinding and mesmerizing spectacle. The sheer mass of water cascading down the 100m drop across nearly 2km makes  a thunderous roar and creates a magnificent spray of water that can be seen for miles – hence the local name ‘mosi oa tunya’ meaning ‘the smoke that thunders’.

Batonka Guest HouseBatonka Guest Lodge is situated in the quiet residential suburb of Victoria Falls, just 2.2 km from the Victoria Falls Rainforest entrance and 1km from the town centre. The Lodge is set in lush gardens, a tranquil haven away from the bustle of town but within easy walking distance of the main attractions. Established in 1904, the Victoria Falls Hotel is set in the Victoria Falls National Park with a private path to the Victoria Falls. The en suite rooms and suites are well appointed and are furnished in traditional Edwardian style with every modern amenity.

The Elephant Camp is situated on a private concession within and bounded by the Masuwe River and Zambezi gorges with breathtaking views of the Victoria Falls’ spray. It is an intimate lodge under canvas within easy reach of Victoria Falls and all its attractions and activities, yet secluded in its own private game reserve so as to allow close-up encounters with wildlife. There are just 12 luxury tented suites each facing the gorge and with a private viewing deck, plunge pool, private lounge area. All guests will have the opportunity of meeting the elephants at the Wild Horizons Elephant Sanctuary.

The Chobe River Front is a remarkable wildlife area due to the permanent water source of the Chobe River. The spectacle of all the animals coming to drink and frolic at the water’s edge is one to behold, particularly in the dry season (May – Oct) where water is scarce away from the river. It is an area famous for its abundance of elephants, a variety of predators and, in addition, you are likely to see herds of buffalo and possibly even roan and sable antelope.

Chobe Bakwena Lodge is an eco-luxury retreat surrounded by the Chobe National Park on the banks of the Chobe River near the village of Kazangula. It comprises of 10 rondavel style chalets all situated under the shady canopy of Acacia trees and each is surrounded by indigenous riverine bush and with a river view. There is a swimming pool and main area with lounge, restaurant and Rain Tree bar overlooking the river. The package includes three activities (game drives and boat cruises).

Only 4 kilometres from Victoria Falls, The Palm River Hotel is perfectly located on the banks of the Zambezi River offering guests a chance to hear the thunder and see the spray of the mighty waterfall from their rooms. The Palm offers a variety of room types, all with expansive views of the riverside garden from the bedroom, verandah or balcony. All rooms are en-suite with a private balcony or verandah, mini bar fridge, international plugs/ adaptors, wireless internet, in-room safe, tea/coffee self-service, air conditioning, overhead fans and satellite television. Dining outside under the African night sky amidst the sound of the mighty waterfall makes for a very romantic evening. The outdoor bar offers a comprehensive wine list and cocktails. The hotel has an equipped gym in the main area. Airport Transfer Time: 30 minutes

Chobe Game Lodge is the only permanent lodge situated within the boundaries of Chobe National Park. It is built along the riverbank with spectacular views of the Chobe River and floodplains. The 48 en suite rooms are river facing and have private terraces. Facilities at the lodge include a large swimming pool with terrace, a riverside boma area, beauty salon, stylish bar with terrace. Activities include 4×4 game drives and boat cruises.

Ngoma Safari Lodge is situated within the Chobe Forest Reserve bordering the western edge of Chobe National Park and overlooking the Chobe River. All 8 river facing suites have spacious internal and external living areas including both an inside and outside shower, luxury bath and a private splash pool. There is a swimming pool, sundeck, bar and dining area. As Ngoma Safari Lodge is situated in a Forest Reserve, both walking and night drives are permitted and activities include: game walks, games drives, birding as well as a full day game activity including cruising on the Chobe River and driving within the Chobe National Park.
