Experience the best of this beautiful country, exploring magnificent and remote landscapes whilst observing wildlife and birdlife in it’s natural habitat. Staying in a variety of safari accommodation in some of the best locations in Zimbabwe, this 10 day safari offers an exceptional and exhilarating Zimbabwe experience.
Departing from Zimbabwe’s Harare Airport, fly to Mana Pools National Park where you will explore this Unesco World Heritage with professional Guides in 4×4 safari vehicles and on foot. Your safari then continues to the shore of the Zambezi River, where you will be able to embark on canoeing safaris and tracking wildlife along the riverbanks by foot.  Fly onto Lake Kariba, a very different environment from where you have just spent the last few nights.  Spend 2 nights relaxing in this serene and peaceful environment, with the Zambezi escarpment as your backdrop, overlooking the waters of Lake Kariba.  Your final 3 nights take you to Hwange National Park, a fantastic wildlife haven with activities including game drives, guided walking safaris, bird watching and cultural visits.

Situated within a private concession, in the most remote part of the World Heritage Site in Mana Pools is the Kanga Pan, a haven for wildlife, drawing animals from near and far to drink and is the location of Kanga Camp, a small & intimate safari camp within a pristine wildlife area.

This intimate and authentic safari camp is nestled along the edge of an ancient seasonal floodplain overlooking the savannah in a private concession in Hwange National Park. Tour Experiences
Day 1 – HARARE – MANA POOLS NATIONAL PARK
Approximate flight time 1 hour 30 minutes
Depart from Zimbabwe’s Harare Airport for your flight to Mana Pools National Park. You will be met on arrival at the airstrip by your Guide who will transfer you to Camp, with a game drive enroute.
After settling into your tent and having some time to unpack, relax and freshen up, Â take a sundowner on the deck, watching the sunset as wildlife come to the waterhole. Â Dinner and overnight.
Overnight at Kanga Camp (Fully Inclusive)
Day 2 – MANA POOLS NATIONAL PARK
A full day to explore the surrounding concession and the most remote part of the World Heritage Site in Mana Pools, the Kanga Pan, the only permanent water source for a 20km radius, which creates a haven for wildlife. Activities at Kanga Camp include guided walking safaris through the concession and thrilling day and night game drives led by qualified and passionate local guides.

Day 3 - 4 – MANA POOLS NATIONAL PARK
Today you will safari transfer to the Nkupi camping site, on the shores of the Zambezi River, for 2 nights at Zambezi Expedition Camp. The next two days will be filled with adventurous canoeing safaris, tracking wildlife along the riverbanks by foot, and casting a line for catch-and-release tiger fishing.  Game drives in an open 4 x 4 along the flood plains and into the heart of the Mana Pools National Park will offer some exciting opportunities for wildlife sightings.
Overnight at Zambezi Expeditions (Fully Inclusive)
Day 5 - 6 – LAKE KARIBA
Approximate flight time 30 minutes
Time for one final early morning game drive or walk, returning to the camp for breakfast. Â Transfer to the airstrip for your 30 minute flight to Lake Kariba, where you will be met on arrival and transferred the short distance to Bumi Hills Lodge.
Overlooking the shimmering waters of Lake Kariba, activities include boat cruises, fishing, canoeing, guided safari walks, game drives in the Bumi Hills Conservancy.

Day 7 - 8 - 9 – HWANGE NATIONAL PARK
Today you depart Lake Kariba and fly to Hwange National Park, well known for large concentrations of Elephant, especially  during the dry season when huge numbers congregate around the waterholes.  Lions, Cheetah, Buffalo are also common to view. You may also catch sight of the elusive leopard during your three nights. Spend your days seeking out and observing the wildlife,  with guided walking safaris – a highlight in this area, game drives in 4×4 vehicles with professional guides, bird watching and cultural visits.
Nights are spent under the stars, in your safari tent, listening to the sounds of nature as they unfold during the night.

Day 10 – HWANGE NATIONAL PARK – VICTORIA FALLS
Approximate flight time 1 hour
After a final breakfast and morning game drive (time permitting), climb aboard your 1hr hour scenic air charter from the airstrip to Victoria Falls International Airport for your onward travel.

Hello, I am Sally Wanjau, and I have been travelling to Kenya on safari since the 1980’s which led to me living and working there for several years.
