This 8 day camping safari includes visits to the best wildlife areas in East Africa – offering a diverse variety of species including all the well known big game animals. Travel between the parks is by air to avoid long road journeys and accommodation is in eco-friendly small tented camps. All game drives are in shared 4×4 safari vehicles (not vans) with the option to upgrade to a private vehicle (at a supplement). There is also the opportunity to experience a Balloon Safari.
The tour includes a night at Nairobi Tented Camp with a game drive in Nairobi National Park. Then transport by road from Nairobi to Porini Amboseli Camp and then flights from Amboseli to Ashnil Samburu Camp, then  Porini Mara Camp and back to Nairobi. Daily departures are from Nairobi.

DAY BY DAY
Tour Experiences
Day 1
Pick up from Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transfer to Nairobi Tented Camp for one night (Dinner, Bed & Breakfast basis with afternoon game drive, sundowner and drinks – beer, wine, gin & tonics, soft drinks and bottled water). If arriving before lunch then pre-book our specially priced upgrade (just $30 per person) for Full Board, adding lunch and extra game activities.
This unique camp is the only camp within the Nairobi National Park which is home to a broad range of wildlife.
Day 2
Depart Nairobi and drive south to Selenkay Conservancy (a 5 hour journey of 128 miles), arriving at Porini Amboseli Camp before lunch. (Optional flight upgrade at a supplement). Afternoon tea, followed by an escorted walk with Maasai warriors to a village to get an insight into their fascinating culture and way of life. Return to camp for a shower, dinner and overnight.
Day 3
After an early breakfast, drive to Amboseli National Park for a morning game drive within the Park to see the elephants at close quarters, followed by a picnic lunch. In the afternoon you will return to Porini Camp for a rest and then an evening game drive in Selenkay Conservancy, ending with a sundowner at a scenic spot. Return to Porini Amboseli Camp for dinner after which there will be a night game drive using a spotlight to seek out some of the nocturnal animals such as aardvarks (antbears), serval cats, bat-eared foxes and possibly even the elusive leopard. Overnight Porini Camp.
Day 4
Early breakfast and then drive into Amboseli park and on to the airstrip to fly to Samburu, arriving by 1 pm for lunch at the Ashnil Samburu Camp, where you will stay for 2 nights. Afternoon game drive in Samburu National Reserve.
Day 5
Morning and afternoon game drives in Samburu and overnight at Ashnil Samburu Camp.
Day 6
Early morning game drive and than after breakfast you will fly from Samburu to the Mara to stay the next 2 nights at Porini Mara Camp. In the evening you will take a game drive to explore the area around the camp and to seek out the wildlife for which the Mara is famous.
Day 7
*Optional Balloon Safari and Champagne Breakfast.
A full day in the Mara with a picnic lunch when you can expect to find lions as well as many of the other species found in the Mara which include leopard, cheetah, hyena, elephant, rhino, topi, eland, wildebeest, zebra, hippo and buffalo.
Day 8
Transfer to the airstrip for the 11am flight back to Nairobi, arriving around 12.15pm.
