This wonderful 5 day (4 night) fly-in safari visits two of Kenya’s most prolific game parks – the Samburu and Masai Mara National Reserves. The itinerary includes high-quality drives in these game-filled areas and guests can also enjoy other activities such as escorted walks, sundowners, bush breakfasts and starlit dinners. Travel from Nairobi and between the camps is by light aircraft in order to reduce travelling time and maximise time at the camps.

Samburu Intrepids Camp is set on the Uaso Nyiro River in the heart of Samburu National Reserve, looking out over riverbanks where herds of elephant, buffalo and zebra come daily to drink.
Mara Intrepids Camp is located just a short drive from the Mara River, where over a million wildebeest and zebra make their perilous migration crossing every year. Outside of the migration period the camp still offers some of the world’s finest game viewing, with large local populations of plains game including, elephant, rhino, buffalo, and all the Big Cats.
Each camp has 27 to 30 luxurious tents spaciously set along a river bank ensuring privacy and wonderful views . Each tent is furnished in the classic style of the grand African safaris, with large four-poster beds, fine furnishings and with en-suite bathrooms with hot showers, flush toilets and all modern amenities.
Public areas at both camps include a lounge, bar and dining area, all making the most of the setting and views of the river. There is a swimming pool at each camp, ideal for relaxing in between excursions. The camp chefs prepare an array of sumptuous dishes using high quality ingredients and the camps pride themselves on the good levels of hospitality and service. Meals can be taken in the main dining areas, or at various special “bush dining” spots near the camps.
Activities include game drives, sundowners, nature walks, informative talks and cultural visits to local Maasai villages. Hot air balloon safaris can also be arranged, and the Adventurers’ Clubs run various activities for children.
