About The Stanley Hotel

Since 1902, The Stanley Hotel in Nairobi has hosted some of the world’s most acclaimed film stars and writers, as well as world leaders on royal and state visits to Kenya . Recently re-furbished to enhance its old charm and historic features, the Sarova Stanley remains a well-known landmark in the centre of Nairobi with the Thorn Tree Café and the famous message tree. This city centre hotel has a convenient position amongst the busy shopping area of Nairobi.

Guarding the entrance is The Stanley’s famous Yellow-barked Acacia Tree whose message board, wrapped around its trunk, and has formed the centerpiece of the legendary Thorn Tree Café since 1959. Centrally positioned in Nairobi’s shopping and business district, The Stanley enjoys easy access to the Kenyatta International Conference Center, all the financial institutions and international organizations.

Accommodation

Today, the visitor will find modern air-conditioned accommodations, including television, video and mini-bars in all of the spacious rooms, a rooftop swimming pool, café and a health club. 0-6 years – free / no charge (Maximum 2 per room). 7-12 – each child pays 15% Single Room rate to a maximum of 2 children. 13- 17 each child pays 25% Single Room rate to a maximum of 2 children.

Children staying in own rooms;
Room will be charged at 80% of applicable full single/double/triple room rate. 18 and above they are considered adults and full rates apply
