The River Camp, Ol pejeta

The River Camp  is  a new luxury safari camp in Ol Pejeta Lakipia, a truly exceptional destination that offers an unforgettable African safari experience. Located in the heart of the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, The River Camp is set on the Ngobit River against the backdrop of majestic Mount Kenya, surrounded by a vast savannah teeming with wildlife.

The  luxury doesn’t come at the expense to the environment. River Camp is an eco-friendly camp, built using sustainable materials and practices to minimise the environmental impact on the local ecosystem. At our camp, guests will have the opportunity to embark on game drives, night game drives, guided bush walks, and visits to the nearby Rhino sanctuary. And after a day of adventure, they can unwind in the swimming pool,  indulge in a spa treatment, or enjoy a meal under the stars

Accommodation

The River camp has seven luxury twin/double tents and one family unit.  All guest tents are designed for comfort and natural elegance with private en suite bathrooms and have both with indoor and outdoor showers and private decks with day beds overlooking the river and waterhole an blend well with the beauty of the surroundings and the luxurious ambiance of the camp. The tents  design allows guests to take in the breathtaking views and sounds of the African bush.

The camps  common areas are constructed on wooden decks and have an open feel overlooking the al fresco deck surrounded by the river on three sides.

Modern flair on bush meals and special menu requests are catered for all dietary requirements. A well stocked bar offers great wines and authentic cocktails after your game drives.

Activities

The camp offers daily day game drives, night game drives,  horse riding and walking safaris led by the camps guides.

• No triples allowed,  (7 en-suite guest tents plus 1 family suite)
• Minimum 2 night stay during peak season
•  Maximum number of singles is 3, the 4th and subsequent singles are charged at double room rate
