Incredible Trip to Kenya

We stayed in Kenya for three weeks, at Porini Amboseli Camp, Elephant Bedroom Camp, Porini Mara Camp , Porini Lion Camp and Governers Il Moran. Our city stays were at Giraffe Manor and Eka Hotel in Nairobi.

We had an absolutely amazing adventure through Kenya, meticulously organized to the finest detail by Robyn Beattie of Gamewatchers. Every flight was arranged just right, the drivers we had in Nairobi were excellent, and even when we arrived back in Nairobi after fifteen days being out in the game reserves, we got a lovely surprise on walking in to the hotel room to see our suitcases sitting on the floor ready for us.

While we are regular safari goers in South Africa, nothing comes close to the sheer numbers of game, incredible landscapes, mountain ranges, and open savannah of the Kenyan parks, combined with spectacular sightings including many firsts for us, and the overall experience that we enjoyed throughout Kenya.

We could not find fault with any of the camps we stayed in, every meal was ample, fresh and delicious, the accommodations excellent, and the level of care and service from the wonderful guides and camp staff we met everywhere we went was outstanding, truly making our trip memorable.

We had never stayed in these types of tented camps before, and we were very pleasantly surprised by the high levels of comfort, we even loved the bucket shower experience!
As mentioned already game viewing was outstanding everywhere. While we adored the beauty and spectacular landscapes of Samburu and Amboseli, the outstanding experience for us was by far the Porini Lion Camp in Olare Motorogi Conservancy. Never have we experienced such a density of big cats in one area, topped off by the warm and welcoming service from Patrick and his wonderful team, and our excellent guide, Christopher
