Kinondo Kwetu is situated far end of the remote Galu Beach, south of Diani beach. Lay down on a sun bed and admire the vast ocean or grab one of our foldable beach chairs and sit with your feet in the incoming tide.
The rooms at Kinondo Kwetu are decorated with local artifacts and typical details from the Kenyan coastal region. Each of our rooms are unique and has its own personal charm and features.
Although Kinondo Kwetu is the ideal place for simply doing nothing at all, it offers exciting possibilities for all adventurers big and small, from one spectrum to the other, from peaceful yoga to adrenaline sky diving. Some activities are seasonal, depending on winds and tides. Kinondo Kwetu has two pools. At the big and deep one you can sunbathe from morning until evening. And at the smaller “quiet” pool, the afternoon will give you shade from the trees. The ocean is very warm and the beach is white. For most of the year temperatures in the water are between 28C-32C. So, no matter which water activity you like to do – you only need to bring a swimsuit.
Additional activities:
Horse-riding on beach, in sacred ‘Kaya’ forests and paddock – stables are on site, Cultural visits to Kinondo village & Kinondo Kwetu Community works, Golf, Game drives within Shimba Hills National , Shopping / sight-seeing trips to Ukunda or Mombasa
