The Strand Hotel

The Strand Hotel is a larger hotel in Swakopmund, offering comfort and hospitality in line with international 4-Star standards.   The Hotel is located on the promenade in Swakopmund, with access to the town’s main beach. The hotel is just a short walk to the historic centre of this seaside town, with all its shops, cafés, restaurants and bars.

After a full day of activities, guests can unwind and relax with a tranquil experience in The Atlantic Spa and wellness facility before indulging in one of the hotel’s three exciting restaurants, bars and sea facing terraces.

Room Types:

Standard Rooms
All feature floor-to-ceiling panoramic and sliding windows with beautiful views of the gardens. Each has an en-suite bathroom with shower, single vanity and separate toilet, writing desk and easy lounging armchair with reading light.
Available as an extra-length soft-top King-bed or Twin-bed configuration.
All Standard Rooms accommodate up to 2 adults and 1 child in a cot.

Luxury Rooms
Situated in some of the best view locations within the Hotel these rooms offer floor-to-ceiling panoramic and sliding doors with “step-out” Romeo & Juliet balconies. The bathrooms, with showers and separate toilets feature double his and her vanities, writing desks or dining/working tables, couch and two easy lounging armchairs with reading light.
Available as an extra-length soft-top King-bed or Twin-bed configuration.
All Luxury Rooms are designed to accommodate families of a maximum two adults and one child up to 10 years. For children above 10 years, the inter-leading rooms are recommended.

Junior Suite
Suites offer sliding door with balcony and sea view. Open-plan lounge and bedroom. Suites have bathroom with shower, bath separate toilet and feature double vanities.
Junior Suites accommodate families of maximum 2 adults and 2 children up to 10.

Luxury Suite
Situated in superb view locations within the Hotel these suites offer three floor-to-ceiling double-sized panoramic and sliding doors with three larger balconies with sea and beach views across Swakopmund main beach, the Atlantic Ocean and the historic town center. These open-plan lounge, dining room and separate bedroom suites have bathrooms with showers and full free standing bathtubs and double his and her vanities and separate toilets. Available as an extra-length soft-top King-bed. The lounge features two couches and executive desk with a 4-seated dining room area. Both the lounge and bedroom feature TVs.
Luxury Suites accommodate families of maximum 2 adults and 2 children up to 10.

Presidential Suite
This top floor suite offers views of the beach and the sea. It includes a spacious terrace, a separate large master bedroom with fireplace and a bathroom with bath and shower. The living area comes with a fireplace, sofas, TV and a dining area with adjacent kitchen.
Adults only in the Presidential Suite, an inter-connecting Standard Room is suitable for children.
