Okavango Delta & Moremi Game Reserve

Tucked under the trees on the edge of the Khwai River, in the community run Khwai Concession, this beautiful camp is the perfect location to fulfil your dreams of an African Safari experience. Wildlife is abundant, with hippos, elephants and lions, as well as cheetah, Leopard, buffalo, wild dog and giraffe. Guests can enjoy land and water based wildlife activities including game drives, walking safaris and mokoro safaris (water levels permitting) as well as night drives, to view some of Africa’s more elusive creatures.

Baines Camp, named after the famed nineteenth century explorer and artist Thomas Baines, is located on the Boro River, in a 260 000 acre private concession in the Okavango Delta that neighbours the Moremi Game Reserve. Set amongst the shady trees and water of the delta, the small and intimate Baines Camp features just five luxurious suites set on elevated platforms in the tree line.

Camp Okuti is located alongside the Maunachira River, as it flows into the Xakanaxa Lagoon in the heart of the Okavango delta, within the Moremi Wildlife Reserve. Moremi is a park rich in wildlife and game viewing is consistent year round so it is ideal for the first time visitor to Botswana.

Overlooking the legendary Chiefs Island and bordering the Moremi Game Reserve, Gunn’s Camp is one of the few remaining luxury, vintage safari camps. Set under leafy palms and African Ebony to blend naturally with its unique surroundings, Gunn’s Camp achieves a fine balance of comfort without isolating guests from the sights and sounds of the wilderness.

Kanana Camp is set in the south western delta amongst grass covered islands formed by fertile eroded termite hills dotted with fig, palm and jackal berry trees. The Kanana area encompasses a necklace of islands on the Xudum River, northeast of Pom Pom lagoon and is incredibly picturesque with winding waterways meandering through open lagoons.

Kwara Camp is situated on a private concession on the edge of the permanent waters of the world renowned Okavango Delta in Botswana, which shares a common boundary with Moremi Game Reserve. The area offers a combination of permanent water, seasonal floodplains and pans, open grasslands as well as extensive dry bush and scrub which creates a great game viewing destination throughout the year.

Machaba Camp is situated in the game rich Khwai area, on the eastern tongue of the Okavango Delta. The camp is built in the classic 1950’s style, with luxury safari tents, en-suite bathrooms and romantic outdoor showers. All the tents are situated on the ground and the pathways to the tents meander between the large riverine trees.

Pom Pom is located in the heart of the Okavango Delta in a private concession to the west of the Moremi Game Reserve. The camp is classically designed in the style of safari camps of old camp overlooking the lily strewn Pom Pom Lagoon.

Sango Safari Camp is nestled in the shade of the trees overlooking the Khwai River. Situated on the outskirts of the traditional village of Khwai and on the border of Moremi Game Reserve, the camp offers guests the perfect base from which to explore the wildlife and culture of this unique habitat.

Shinde is a magical hideaway in the wildlife abundant Shinde private concession near Moremi Game Reserve. It is nestled within the shade of ancient jackal berries, water figs and knob thorns and built in a remote and exclusive setting on the edge of the permanent waters of the northern Okavango Delta. It is surrounded by clear waterways teeming with birdlife and game and offering a variety of activities all year round.

Xakanaxa Camp is located in the Xakanaxa region of Moremi Game Reserve in the heart of the Okavango Delta in Botswana. This is a lush area with abundant game all year round and provides the perfect setting for this exquisitely designed camp. The camp accommodates up to twenty-four guests in elegant bush-style safari tents on raised platforms.

Xaranna Tented Camp overlooks one of the permanent lagoons of the Okavango Delta in 25000 hectares of pristine wilderness. The Camp boasts breathtaking views of the channel, providing guests with a water and wilderness experience that combines the best of what the Okavango has to offer.
