Magnificent Kenya - Safari

This luxury Kenya air safari includes great savings to some of Kenya’s most prestigious safari camps – Tortilis in Amboseli, Lewa Safari Camp (Lewa Conservancy) and Cottar’s 1920s Camp in the Masai Mara. After a night at Nairobi’s famous Giraffe Manor, continue to each camp by light aircraft. The tour includes game drives, guided bush walks, bush breakfasts, sundowners and a complimentary massage. Flexible departures (any day).

The Giraffe Manor was built in 1932 and is surrounded by 140 acres of its own park and forest with superb views of the Ngong Hills. In 1974 the founders of the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife (AFEW) bought the Manor and moved two highly endangered baby Rothschild giraffe to the estate. These thrived and have produced several further generations of giraffe. Today, Giraffe Manor is a small and elegant boutique hotel and offers the unique experience of feeding and photographing giraffe from your breakfast table, at the front door and even from a bedroom window! The hotel is personally hosted and has high levels of service and fine dining.

Tortilis Camp is an award-winning luxury tented camp in a private Conservancy bordering Amboseli National Park. Amboseli is best known for unrivalled views of Africa’s highest mountain – Kilimanjaro – and for  its elephant population – over 1000 elephant in the Park eco-system, which are some of the biggest elephant in Africa.

Tortilis Camp is named after the flat topped umbrella thorn tree, the Acacia Tortilis, and is situated just outside the Park in one of Amboseli’s few remaining areas of unspoilt woodland.

Lewa Safari Camp has 12 luxurious tents in a stunning location within Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, with outstanding game viewing and spectacular views to Mt. Kenya to the south and arid lowlands to the north. The camp is based within the private 65,000 acre wildlife conservancy of the Lewa Wilderness Trust and overlooks a floodlit waterhole. The central area has well maintained gardens with a large sunny verandah and a swimming pool in which to cool off during the day. Activities at Lewa Safari Camp include game drives in 4×4 Land Cruisers, guided bush walks, bush breakfasts, sundowners, horse-riding*, camel trekking*, excursions* to a local village or forest, educational talks on the history and the day-to-day operation of the Conservancy and beauty treatments*. (*supplements apply).

Cottar’s 1920s Safari Camp is situated in an extensive and exclusive concession between the Maasai Mara, Serengeti and Loliondo reserves. This area offers the discerning client a guarantee of privacy. It provides the highest standard of service and professional guiding, recalling an era of luxury and quality reminiscent of a golden era – one of romance, adventure and elegance.

The camp accommodates up to 12 guests in spacious tents which are luxuriously furnished and incorporate original safari antiques from the 1920’s. From the chairs at the front of your tent you can enjoy the fine views across the plains. Activities include game drives and walking safaris.
