Porini Rhino Camp is located in Ol Pejeta Conservancy a 90,000 acre wildlife conservancy situated between the foot hills of the Aberdares and the magnificent snowcapped Mount Kenya.
Ol Pejeta Conservancy boasts an astounding variety of animals including all the “Big Five” (the endangered black rhino, leopard, elephant, buffalo and lion) as well a sanctuary for rescued chimpanzees and also incorporates the smaller Sweetwaters Game Reserve.
The combination of amazing wildlife and stunning views across the open plains of Ol Pejeta guarantees an unforgettable safari experience.
Ol Pejeta Conservancy has a large area of over 60,000 acres reserved exclusively for 4x4 safari vehicles and small exclusive eco-camps.
Porini Rhino Camp is hidden in a secluded valley and set amongst shady acacia trees on the banks of a seasonal river. The camp consists of six spacious guest tents, each comfortably furnished with en suite bathrooms. The camp is very environmentally-friendly with solar powered lighting and no generator. Game drives are taken in the camp’s 4x4 safari vehicles with qualified safari guides. Guided walks are taken on the open plains escorted by Maasai warriors. Night drives are also taken to see the nocturnal animals. All the Big Five have been seen on game drives from the camp.

Itinerary - Duration: 2 nights / 3 days
|

Day 1
|
Fly from Wilson Airport in Nairobi to Nanyuki, arriving at 1240. You will be met at the airstrip and transferred to Porini Rhino Camp, located in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, in the foothills of Mount Kenya. Lunch and afternoon tea in camp and then head off to look for rhino with your driver-guide in the camp’s 4x4 safari vehicle. Return to Porini Rhino Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2
|
Full day in Ol Pejeta with game drives and walking activities from camp and a night game drive after dinner.
Overnight Porini Rhino Camp.

Day 3
|
Depart Porini Rhino Camp and transfer to Nanyuki for the flight back to
Nairobi or on to the Mara.

Children (8-16 years) each pay 60% if sharing with 2 adults;
If sharing with 1 adult the adult pays single supp and child
pays 50%; 2 children in own tent 75% of adult rate each; 4th
child in tent is strongly discouraged due to limited space
in tent and shower/toilet facilities. The camp is not suitable
for children under 8yrs.
