Gamewatchers Safaris has been operating for more than 15 years and is based in the modern and well-designed Village Market complex in Nairobi. We provide personalised safari arrangements for clients who prefer a more individual safari avoiding the mass-market tourist lodges.

Our safaris involve transfers by air from Nairobi direct to the park, to cut out long journeys across country and to give more time to viewing wildlife. We use the services of Safarilink from Wilson Airport, Nairobi.

Mohanjeet Brar, the Commercial Director, is a 4th generation Kenyan who is a keen naturalist and conservationist. Having lived and grown up in the rich forests of the Kenyan highlands, he has a close-tie to wildlife and the local people. He has a Doctorate degree in Plant Science from the US and is a KPSGA (Kenya Professional Safari Guides Association) certified safari guide. Gamewatchers Safaris was established in 1989 by its Managing Director, Jake Grieves-Cook, who has been involved in Kenya's tourism industry for over 30 years. Jake has served in recent years as Chairman of the Ecotourism Society of Kenya (ESOK), Chairman of the Kenya Tourism Federation (KTF), a board member of the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS), a trustee of the EU/ Kenya Government Tourism Trust Fund (TTF), a council member of the East African Wildlife Society and Chairman of the Kenya Tourist Board (KTB). He is personally involved in the Selenkay conservation project with a Maasai community near Amboseli. Jake is always happy to hear from clients who need help in planning a safari to Kenya.
