Inspired by the need to preserve cultural roots and also harness contemporary lifestyles, The Village Market settled on the village theme. This African village theme was defined by a togetherness and communal lifestyle which held the seams of the society together.

Situated in the up-market Gigiri suburb of Nairobi, the hotel is attached to the trendy Village Market shopping and recreation complex, East Africa's largest all-in-one concept centre. The complex is also less than a mile from the United Nations headquarters, the US and Canadian embassies and other diplomatic and non-governmental agencies. The world class Muthaiga Golf Club is a five minute drive away, as are a range of other activities.

The hotel offers modern facilities and personal services including wireless internet access, a business center and meeting rooms, a wellness spa, individualized travel services and a well-versed concierge. The design is HIP and chic, with an emphasis on luxury and design elements. Epic, the in-house restaurant serves Continental cuisine with an exquisite African Fusion. It is open daily for lunch and dinner from 10h00 am to 10h30 pm.

The bar has a 26 seater capacity and the lounge area seats approximately 40 persons.
