Getting There

The hotel is 18 kilometers north of the city of Mombasa and 30 kilometers from the airport. The hotel shuttle bus provides guests with transport between the hotel, town centre and the airport.

The Serena Beach Hotel can cater conferences and seminars for up to 25 participants, and will support conference administration with a wide range of equipment and experienced management services.

Sokoni Plaza - coffee house with Lamu theme, open daily from 11:00 am - 7:00 pm. One level plus terrace. Seating capacity 85.

Fountain Restaurant - breakfast and lunch served buffet style. dinner table d'hote. Open for breakfast from 7:00 am - 10:00 am; for lunch from 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm and for dinner from 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm. Seating capacity 348.

The Jahazi Grill - casual speciality seafood restaurant overlooking the beach and the Indian Ocean. Open daily for lunch from 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm and for dinner from 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm. Seating capacity 104.

The Nyota Terrace Bar - an intimate bar with a large terrace overlooking the grounds of the hotel. Open from 5:00 pm - midnight.

Mashua Bar - air conditioned. Colourful cocktails with pianist 3 times weekly. Open from 6:00 pm - midnight. Seating capacity 36.

Pool Bar - "Swim-in" seats and four tables and four bar stools for casual poolside lunches, snacks and drinks. Open from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm.

Swahili evenings - held in our Fountain Restaurant or by Sokoni Plaza. These special evenings capture the spirit of an Arab-style street fair. Swahili women cook their special native fares and the men demonstrate their unique wood carving skills.

Sunrise Surprise - just say the word and tomorrow morning you will find your own exclusive table set up in a private setting of your choice - with a sumptuous breakfast, regally served.

Palm weddings - marriages can take place in paradise and the setting is a cathedral of exotically beautiful nature. Expert attention to every detail, from the cake and champagne to the flowers, photography and music.
