A 6 night / 7 day safari visiting Selenkay Conservancy, Amboseli National Park, Kigio Wildlife Conservancy (Naivasha), Lake Nakuru, Ol Kinyei Conservancy and the Masai Mara.

Accommodation is at the award-winning Porini Camps and Kigio Wildlife Camp or Malewa Wildlife Lodge.

This tour operates as a shared / set departure from Nairobi every Sunday (or can be arranged as a private tour at a supplement).


This 7 day safari combines:

2 nights at Porini Amboseli Camp with walks and night game drive, game drive in the Amboseli National Park for viewing elephants close up. In the Selenkay Conservancy, an exclusive wilderness area with no other tourist vehicles, a walk with Maasai warriors to visit an authentic village, and a night game drive. Game drives in 4x4 vehicle.

2 nights at Kigio Wildlife Camp or Malewa Wildlife Lodge in Kigio Wildlife Conservancy (Naivasha) with a full day in Nakuru to see the flamingos and where there is also an excellent chance of seeing rhino and leopard.

2 nights at Porini Mara Camp visiting Ol Kinyei Conservancy: one of the most scenic parts of the Mara eco-system with resident big cats. With bush walks, a night drive and game drive in the Maasai Mara, famous for lions, cheetahs and leopards. Game drives in 4x4 vehicle.

All game drives are with experienced driver-guides who have professional certification. Private vehicles for game drives at Porini Camps are available at a supplement.

At Porini Camps all meals and drinks included as well as sundowners, shared night game drives and escorted walks.

Kigio Wildlife Camp / Malewa Wildlife Lodge include all meals and drinks (beer, house wine and soft drinks) and escorted nature walks.

  • Lake Nakuru: spectacular scenery, excellent for rhino and good chances of seeing leopard. For much of the year there are unique views of flamingos on the alkaline lake although they may migrate elsewhere such as to Lake Bogoria when lake levels rise.
  • Ol Kinyei Conservancy: one of the most scenic parts of the Mara eco-system with resident big cats
  • Masai Mara: the most famous wildlife reserve in Kenya, excellent for lion and cheetah
  • All meals and drinks included as well as sundowners, night game drives and escorted walks at Porini Camps



6 nights / 7 days

Day 1

Morning transfer by minibus (5 hours, 128 miles) from Nairobi to Selenkay Conservancy arriving at Porini Amboseli Camp for lunch. (Optional flight direct to Selenkay available at a supplement from July to October & December to March). All the big cats have been seen in the Conservancy as well as elephants and a wide range of species including large numbers of giraffes, zebra and antelopes. There are also less common animals which may be seen such as the long-necked gerenuk gazelle, lesser kudu and African wildcat. In the afternoon you will go on a walk escorted by Maasai warriors to visit a nearby Maasai Village where you will get to know more about the way of life of the Maasai people before having a night game drive with a spotlight to seek out the nocturnal animals as you head back to camp in the dark. Dinner and overnight in Porini Amboseli Camp in Selenkay Conservancy.

Day 2

After an early breakfast drive into Amboseli National Park (10 miles from the Selenkay boundary) for a full morning game drive with picnic lunch. Return to camp in the afternoon and have evening sundowners and night game drive. Overnight  Porini Amboseli Camp.

Day 3

After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for the early morning flight to Wilson Airport where you will be met by a qualified driver-guide (with 4x4 safari vehicle) to continue through the Great Rift Valley to Kigio Wildlife Conservancy and to Kigio Wildlife Camp or Malewa Wildlife Lodge, arriving for lunch. Take time to relax, or join an escorted nature walk. Dinner and overnight at Kigio Wildlife Camp or Malewa Wildlife Lodge.

Day 4

Spend a full day with 4x4 vehicle and expert driver-guide in Lake Nakuru National Park (with lunch at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge) returning later in the evening for dinner and overnight at Kigio Wildlife Camp or Malewa Wildlife Lodge.

Day 5

After breakfast, check out and transfer to the Maasai Mara and to Porini Mara Camp in Ol Kinyei Conservancy for 2 nights. Afternoon game drive in the private Ol Kinyei Conservancy in the camp’s 4x4 safari vehicle with an evening sundowner at a scenic spot followed by a night game drive back to camp for dinner and overnight at Porini Mara Camp.

Day 6

*Optional Balloon Safari and Champagne Breakfast.

Spend a full day on a game drive with the Porini Mara Camp’s 4x4 safari vehicle in the Masai Mara Game Reserve with picnic lunch, returning to the camp in the evening. Overnight Porini Mara Camp.

Day 7

Early morning game drive or escorted walk in Ol Kinyei Conservancy followed by breakfast. Transfer to the airstrip for the scheduled flight departing at 11h00 to arrive Wilson Airport at approximately 12h15. Met and transfer to the airport or to a Nairobi hotel (hotel not included but available at a supplement). Alternatively, extend your safari with optional Extra Nights at Porini Mara Camp or an optional beach extension on the Kenya Coast.

ITINERARY: Pick up in Nairobi then road transfer to Amboseli, 2 nights in Porini Amboseli Camp on all inclusive basis with daily Selenkay Conservancy fees and one day Amboseli National Park entrance fee, Maasai village visit then afterwards check out and fly to Wilson Airport where you will be met by a driver guide in a six seater 4x4 safari vehicle and drive to Kigio Wildlife Conservancy in Naivasha to arrive for lunch at Kigio Wildlife Camp or Malewa Wildlife Lodge, later dinner and overnight on full board basis. Next day take picnic lunch and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park for full day game drive in the 4x4 vehicle, afterwards drive back to Kigio Wildlife Conservancy for escorted nature walk returning later to Kigio Wildlife Camp or Malewa Wildlife Lodge for dinner and overnight. After breakfast, check out and drive to Masai Mara Game Reserve arriving at Porini Mara Camp on all inclusive basis for 2 nights with daily Ol Kinyei & Naboisho Conservancy fees and one day Masai Mara Game Reserve entrance fee. Last day after breakfast you will be transferred to Ol Seki Airstrip to board schedule flight to Wilson Airport, met and transferred to JKI Airport to board your departure back home. END OF SAFARI.
