President Obama’s high profile visit to Kenya over the last few days has created considerable publicity in the world’s media. As a result, Kenya’s image has been given a positive boost and this should stimulate a renewed interest in going on safari!

So now is a good time to highlight our Porini Safari Camps which offer the ultimate safari experience in some of Kenya’s more exclusive game-viewing areas.

Our four Porini camps are located within award-winning Conservancies – vast areas of pristine wilderness teeming with animals including Africa’s “Big Five”. Guests staying on the Conservancies have exclusive access to the area and visitor numbers are limited to protect the land and to retain a true feeling of being “in the Wild” away from busy tourist hot-spots.

We have a range of affordable itineraries (click here for details) by road or by air combining Porini Camps with each other and with other Big Game areas such as Nairobi National Park, the Samburu, Aberdares, Mt Kenya and Lake Nakuru.

Porini Amboseli Camp

Porini Amboseli Camp has just nine guest tents within the game-rich Selenkay Conservancy, a 15,000 acre wilderness next to Amboseli National Park. The area has great game-viewing and is particularly famous for its elephants. Guests enjoy day and night game drives, sundowners, bush dining, safari walks as well as visits to Selenkay village to learn about the Maasai way of life.

Porini Mara Camp

With a perfect setting under shady Acacia trees beside a spring, the camp has just six guest tents ensuring a premium and exclusive safari experience. The conservancy has a resident pride of over 20 lions. There are also leopards, cheetahs as well as elephants and a wealth of plains game including large numbers of giraffes.

Porini Rhino Camp

Rhino Camp

Porini Rhino Camp has 7 guest tents in Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a 90,000 acre wildlife haven. The Big Five are present, but it is most famed as a rhino sanctuary. Guests can see Black Rhino, Southern White Rhino and even meet 2 of the World’s last remaining Northern White Rhinos at the Endangered Species Boma. Game activities see many less common species such as African Wild Dogs.
