This 7 day
safari features three of the most famous wildlife areas in East Africa - Amboseli,
Samburu and Mara - and offers a diverse variety of species including all the well
known big game animals. Travel between the parks is by air to avoid long road
journeys. Accommodation is in luxury tented camps and all game drives are in 4x4
safari vehicles (not vans).
Departures
daily from Nairobi. By road from Nairobi to Porini Camp and then flights from
Amboseli to Samburu, Mara and back to Nairobi.

Itinerary:

Day 1
|
Depart
Nairobi and drive south to Selenkay Conservancy (a 3 hour journey of 102 miles),
arriving at Amboseli Porini Camp before lunch. Afternoon tea, followed by an escorted
walk with Maasai warriors to a village to get an insight into their fascinating
culture and way of life. Return to camp for a shower, dinner and overnight.

Day 2
|
After
an early breakfast, drive to Amboseli National Park for a morning game drive within
the Park to see the elephants at close quarters, followed by a picnic lunch. In
the afternoon you will return to Porini Camp for a rest and then an evening game
drive in Selenkay Conservancy, ending with a sundowner at a scenic spot. Return
to Porini Camp for dinner after which there will be a night game drive using a
spotlight to seek out some of the nocturnal animals such as aardvarks (antbears),
serval cats, bat-eared foxes and possibly even the elusive leopard. Overnight
Porini Camp.

Day 3
|
Early breakfast and then drive into Amboseli
park and on to the airstrip to fly to Samburu, arriving by 1 pm for lunch at Samburu
Intrepids, where you will stay for 2 nights. Afternoon game drive in Samburu Reserve.

Day 4
|
Morning and afternoon game drives in Samburu
and overnight at Samburu Intrepids.
|

Day 5
|
Early
morning game drive and than after breakfast you will fly from Samburu to the Mara
to stay the next 2 nights at Mara Porini Camp. In the evening you will take a
game drive to explore the area around the camp and to seek out the wildlife for
which the Mara is famous.

Day 6
|

A full day in the Mara with a picnic lunch when you can expect
to find lions as well as many of the other species found in the Mara which include
leopard, cheetah, hyena, elephant, rhino, topi, eland, wildebeest, zebra, hippo
and buffalo.

Day 7
|
Transfer to the airstrip for the 11am flight
back to Nairobi, arriving around 12.15pm.

Prices include
transfer to Amboseli Porini Camp by road, Amboseli park fees and Selenkay
conservancy fees, Flight from Amboseli to Samburu, 2 nights Samburu Intrepids
Club FB, and game drives. Flight Samburu/Mara, 2 nights at Mara Porini Camp
or similar with game drives and park entry fees and Ol Kinyei conservancy fees.
At Porini Camps all game drives in open 4x4 vehicles with fullboard and free house
wines, beer and soft drinks. Flight back to Wilson.

Each tent has a double & single bed, 3rd adult in tent charged
at normal rate

Children
(8-15 years) 50% (2007) and 60% (2008) if sharing with 2 adults; If sharing with
1 adult the adult pays single supp and child pays 50%; 2 children in own tent
75% of adult rate each; 4th child in tent is strongly discouraged due
to limited space in tent and shower/toilet facilities. Porini camps are not suitable
for children under 8 yrs.
