Accommodation:

Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge offers a lovely choice of guest accommodation in attractive stone and tile cottages. There are five Double Cottages, two Suites and a Family Suite (with an additional bedroom with en suite bathroom). Each Cottage / Suite has a large bedroom with sitting area and fireplace, an en-suite bathroom and a dressing room. The decor and furnishings are contemporary and stylish, and a sheltered veranda on each Cottage / Suite provides guests with a lovely private space from which to admire the surrounding views.

Facilities:

Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge has a main building housing the public areas including a reception area, bar, dining area, library / games room and shop. An attractive patio area extends outdoors from the dining room, and guests are invited to relax here with a drink and enjoy the beautiful views at the end of the day. A Community Information Area provides an insight into the region’s flora and fauna as well as the fascinating culture and history of Rwanda.

Activities:

As well as gorilla trekking, guests can take other natural and cultural excursions within the area including escorted hikes, bird-watching walks, mountain bike rides, treks to the late Dian Fossey’s research centre, mountain climbs, trips to waterfalls and ancient forests and cultural visits to local villages. The lodge offers indulgent massage treatments to help guests unwind after the day’s activities.
