Murchison Falls

The magnificent Murchison Falls are formed where the Nile – the world's longest river – is channelled through a narrow gorge forming a spectacular natural attraction. The surrounding National Park encompasses the larger area of river, streams and forest with a vast range of flora and fauna dependent on this terrain.

Kibale Forest

The adventure starts with a journey to Kibale Forest which has one of the largest numbers of primate species in Africa - 13 species. This includes chimpanzees which number over 1,450 – the largest population in Uganda. Other animals to be found here include many types of rare monkey, forest elephant, bush pigs, buffalo and 325 recorded species of birds.

Queen Elizabeth National Park

As Uganda’s most popular reserve Queen Elizabeth National Park has a variety of terrain. Its volcanic craters, open savannah plains, forest, rivers and Lakeland provide diverse habitats which attract a plethora of animals. This is classic Africa – with all the safari animals you’d expect including elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, hyena, hippo, crocodile and much more.

Ishasha is a forested area and is home to chimpanzees and various species of monkey including black and white colobus, baboons, red-tailed monkeys and vervet monkeys. Hyena and leopard are evident as are large prides of lion - including the famous tree-climbing lions.

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

We then head into the World Heritage Site of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. This is a rare opportunity to visit some of the World’s last tracts of primeval forest - it is virtually untouched and retains an awe-inspiring collection of endangered flora and fauna including Mountain Gorillas.

The tour later continues to Lake Mburo which has wonderful scenery and a chance to either relax after your days of jungle trekking or you can join other activities such as safari walks, night drives or horse-riding treks.
