Manyara Ranch

The Manyara Ranch Conservancy offers a superb Safari experience with an excellent cultural mix for visitors to Tanzania. Originally established as a cattle ranch during the colonial period, Manyara Ranch remains an operating ranch with a relatively small herd of beef cattle and black-headed sheep. In order to sustain the Ranch, a tourism development program was established within the wildlife corridor between Tarangire and Manyara National Parks in Tanzania.

 Located about 5 Km from the main road, the ranch offers its guests a unique wilderness experience. The lodge is open to clients all year round with the green seasons bringing a lush, green environment. The difference in landscape s are very apparent during the dry seasons when the plains are golden-dry.

ACCOMMODATION

With 6 luxury tents all equipped with en-suite bathrooms and flush toilets, the tents are very spacious, have a great abundance of natural light filtering through as well as electrical lighting for convenience. The tents are strategically placed under Acacia trees for shade but more importantly to give our guests unparalleled vies of the landscape around them.

ACTIVITIES

At Manyara Ranch, we offer our clients an outdoor Barbeque area, a campfire in the evenings, for our bird lovers, we have a bird bath located right in front of the dining tent and the best of them all, a waterhole in front of camp that provides guests with opportunities for unique game spotting. We also offer our avid riders, Horse stables at the ranch.   All year round, the conservancy is home to a multitude of wildlife that move between the parks and the protected areas near the conservancy.

Apart from the morning and night gamedrives, at the Lodge, our guests can view some of the best wildlife from the various strategically placed “hides” that we have set up. Guests can watch out for game while being hidden out in the bush. Our guests have witnessed some exciting events in the hide while at the same time, being able to enjoy sundowners and Canapés while they watch.
